What’s everyone having for dinner
tonight?? ☔️⛈ rainy days means craving comfort foods - one of my favourites being buffalo wings - or even better, cauliflower wings! .
Cauliflower wings are popping up
everywhere now - and they are delicious and super healthy. You can flavour them with all your favourite wing sauces, and they are super easy to make. .
My recipe is just cauliflower, hot
sauce, coconut oil, flax and pumpkin seeds. .
.
1. Chop or rip up your cauliflower into
bite size pieces.
2. Blend a handful of pumpkin seeds and
2tbsp flaxseed to make a flour.
3. Coat the cauliflower in water and
then the pumpkin/flaxseed flour.
4. Roast coated cauliflower in the
oven, usually 400 degrees F for 20-30 minutes, depending on how firm you want them.
5. Melt tablespoon of coconut oil and
desired amount of hot sauce in frying pan. Dump roasted cauliflower into pan to coat with the sauce.
5. Eat! .
.
So easy, and there are so many
variations. I used an orange cauliflower just for looks - it has the same great properties as normal cauliflower, with some added carotenoids (same as carrots - that’s what makes it orange!). I
also use the pumpkin and flax seeds to add healthy fat, fibre, and protein.
.
.
I topped mine with cilantro to cool the
heat a bit - but be creative! You can use then in a wrap, or dip away! .
